White tires and a broken dryer.

i’ve been painting my bike, all of this cold and rain isn’t making it easy on me!  just a little sanding, clearcoating and perhaps drawings and i’ll have one fly ride.

Sort of old shot (two weeks at least) but thought I’d share since it’s currently gracing the background of my iPhone. Taken with said phone while riding bikes on a particularly magical Saturday at the biltmore estate with Lloyd. <3

my boo photographed his bike last night.  he’s been working hard to build it up from just the frame and being mega picky about the details.  i think he’s finally happy with it.  i am the official house handlebar wrapper and those are the second pair of grips i’ve put on that bike in the last month or so.  he wanted them to cover the whole exposed part of the bars but i didn’t have enough :(  guess i’ll be wrapping those bad boys again soon.  i think they still look good.

if you haven’t heard of fast boy cycles or its creator, ezra caldwell, please check him out.  he hand-makes custom bicycles in nyc and is in the middle of a battle with “ass  cancer.”  Teaching Cancer to Cry is is blog. (be sure to look out for the assless bike he made for commuting to treatment.)  i can’t imagine being in his shoes and having such a positive and productive attitude. he is an amazing craftsman and a stunning example of a human being.  he also gets coolpoints for his dog putney and having made a custom bike for his friend, glen hansard, of the movie “once.”  i’ve been meaning to post about ezra for a while now, i just could never pick a pic.  so expect more fast boy cycles on this blog :)
