baby teeth

It’s been a while since I’ve posted but we’ve had a lot going on. I swear I don’t know how some of you mama bloggers do it! Maybe I’ll get the hang of updating more often once we’re settled into our new house. We are saying goodbye to our condo and moving across town on Monday!

That said, would you get a load of this girl and her teeth?! Her sixth tooth cut yesterday and I didn’t even see it…

I unloaded pics off of the big camera last night. Hard to believe that I took this over a month ago. That onesie doesn’t even fit anymore!

lloyd and iris

In May we packed up the Volvo wagon and headed south to Fripp Island, SC where Lloyd’s grandmother lives for most of the year. We spent a week introducing Iris to the ocean and bonding with her Grandmama, Great Grandmother, and her Uncle Gene and his Girlfriend. My sister, Aunt Rachael, was also on the island. Coincidentally celebrating the end of another semester with her fellow engineering students.

I don’t know why it surprised me to see that our little Irie wasn’t afraid of the waves at all. She wasn’t overly humored with them, but she soaked them up with her wonderful big eyes. She sunbathed in the shade, squished the sand beneath her toes and ate avocados and bananas in the warm open air. She’s only scratched the surface of being a child at the beach and I look forward to her taking more of it in every time we go back.

My peach Iris, transplanted from my Nana’s house in Pittsburgh bloomed for my first Mother’s Day. I know it’s her sending love to Iris and me. 💞 Happy Mother’s Day to all you mamas and grandmamas! What a special love we get to know. It’s just amazing. @marybethdamico
